Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, TNMaury Regional Medical Center’s goal was to have its best ever National Nurses Week. A kick-off celebration started the festivities. On day two, all employees were invited to join the nurses for a popcorn party. A reception was held on Saturday recognizing nursing staff members who work weekends. An ice cream social sweetened the week. One day focused on the work-life balance: special guests offered sessions on hope, exercise as medicine, massage therapy, zumba dancing, and yoga. The facility displayed nursing memorabilia and held a “Who Are Those Nurses?” contest. A birthday party for Florence Nightingale featured food, fun, and fellowship as well as an awards presentation and someone dressed as Florence. Gifts from Positive Promotions included lapel pin badge holders, lunch bags, key tags, and a raffle pack.
